CIRCULAR NO. 09/2019 - JULIETTE LOW SEMINAR - 2019
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are pleased to inform you that Juliette Low Seminar (JLS) will take place from 14-20 Nov, 2019. To deliver the strategic priority of bringing more opportunities to more girls, WAGGGS is hosting parallel JLS hub events in 20 Countries around the world at the same time for young people to participate in this unique experience. In Asia Pacific Region 05 Venues for the Juliette Low Seminar and Sangam World Center, Alandi Road, Pune, Maharashtra is one of them.
Details are as follows:
Dates: 14th to 20th Nov, 2019
Age: Young people aged 20 – 30 years
Quota: 25 (Participants) for India
Language: The working language of the event is English
About Event: Juliette Low Seminar is an International Event programme involves workshop and group learning using the Girl Guides and Girl Scouts methods as well as adventurous Challenges chance to experience the local cultural and environment and connect with the community. To break gender barriers to leadership, develop own leadership practice and create a plan to reach 100 girls in local area. By taking part in the Juliette Low Seminar you are strengthening your own leadership practice so you can empower girls in your home community.

Event Fee: £ 600 per participant no matter what location participants select to attend.
The fee covers:Meal, Accommodation, All Programme activities and a JLS T-shirt.
Fee Does Not cover: Travel to the JLS Hub location from Home
VISA fee, Travel Insurance etc.
Scholarship: Anne Scott Fund provides young women under 30 years with the opportunity to take part in WAGGGS international events of programmes at a World Centre. The grant of upto £400 is provided through the Olave Baden Powell Society.
Caution Fee: Rs. 5000/- Non-refundable if selected and not participated (Draft in favour of “Bharat Scouts and Guides” payable at New Delhi)
Last Date of Application: As the quota is limited, selection will be on the basis of ‘First comes First Serve’ the application for the above event should reach National Headquarters, New Delhi on or before 20th FEB, 2019. Late received application will not be entertained. As deadline to receive at APR, WAGGGS is 28th Feb, 2019
Participants have to bear travelling expenses to and fro by themselves for the camp. Applicants must have the e-mail id and contact number for further communication regarding the event.
