CIRCULAR NO. 13/2019 - WOOD BADGE 100 CELEBRATIONS IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION
Dear Sir/Madam,
We are pleased to inform you that the Asia Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in collaboration with the Scout Association of Hong Kong (SAKH) is organizing the WoodBadge100 celebrations in Hong Kong. The WoodBadge100 aims to commemorate the one hundred years since the first Wood Badge course was conducted.
There will be a APR Adults in Scouting Workshop during the WoodBadge100 Celebrations. It’s a three-day workshop on Adults in Scouting is organized to gather Leaders of Adults in Scouting. The objective of the workshop is as follows:
- To revisit the World Scout Adults in Scouting Policy and emphasize the Wood badge recognition is a component of the Training path within Adults in Scouting life cycle.
- To list best practices on Recruitment and Retention, and
- To share best practices on Adult Training System that help increase the number of effective adults leaders and motivate adult leader to be involved and committed to Scouting.

Dates: 21st to 24th April, 2019
Date of Arrival: 20th April, 2019
Date of Departure: 24th April, 2019
Working Language: English - States are requested to recommend candidates who are able to communicate and take an active part in discussions in English.
Who can participate: Wood Badge holders in any section who are actively involved in Scouting/Guiding, Commissioners, National Training Team Members and full-time executives who are responsible for AIS or Adult Training and Development.
Fee: USD 150.00 per person. The above fee covers local transportation, Meals, accommodation for the workshop duration, documents, souvenirs, half-day educational tour etc.
Airfare and VISA Charges: New Delhi to Hong Kong and back Rs. 45,000/- (approx). Subject to actual
Caution Money: Rs. 5000/- Non- Refundable if selected and not participated. Draft in favour of “Bharat Scouts and Guides” payable at New Delhi
Last Date of Application: As the quota is limited, selection will be on the basis of ‘First comes First Serve’ the application for the above event should reach National Headquarters, New Delhi on or before 28th FEB, 2019 with Xerox copy of passport, application without caution money and Xerox passport copy will not be entertained.
