Dear Sir/Madam,

We are pleased to inform you that the Bangladesh Scout is hosting the upcoming 32nd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree. The Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree is being organised as a major Scouting event of the region. This is aimed at giving additional opportunity to young people, between the ages of 12-17 years old, to take part in such an event at least once in his/her lifetime as a Scout/Guide.

Details of the event are as follows:

Name of the Event    :    32nd Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Jamboree- 2021

Dates                         :    11th December to 19th December, 2021

Venue                        :    Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The Jamboree site is 440 Km from Dhaka, the Capital of Bangladesh.

Date of Arrival In Jamboree Ground    :    11th December, 2021 before 5:00 PM.

Date of Departure from Jamboree Ground    :    19th December, 2021 after breakfast.

Pre-Jamboree Camp                                 : 7th to 9th December 2021 at STC Ganganagar, Kolkata, West Bengal. All selected participants have to report at STC Ganganagar on the 6th evening or 7th early morning. Indian Contingent will depart together from Kolkata to Bangladesh by bus. Participants will not be allowed to travel individually.

Theme   :    ‘Sabash.... a fountain of energy’

Sabash is a Bengali word and in English it means WELL DONE. Scouts always do good turns. This theme has been chosen to encourage the Scouts to do more good turns with a fountain of energy.

Eligibility    :    Scouts/Guides aged 12 to 17 years old at the time of the Jamboree are eligible to take part as participants. Adults Leaders aged above 18 years and International Service Team (IST) aged above –18 years.

Applications will be considered on the basis of 09 Scouts + 01 adult Leader and 09 Guides + 01 adult leader. Without youth participants, application of adult leader will not be accepted. Similarly is the case with IST also. IST will be considered in the ratio: 9:1
Approximate Expenses:
(i) Caution Money                                                          – Rs 10,000/-
(ii) Jamboree Registration Fee 
USD 250.00 i.e. INR                                                       - Rs 19,000/-
(Subject to actual dollar rates on the date 
of bank transfer)
(iii) Transportation Charges from Kolkata to 
Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh & back                   - Rs  5,000/-
(Subject to actual)
(iv) Visa Charges & border entry Tax                          - Rs  1,000/-
(v) Pre-Jamboree Camp Charges                                - Rs     500/-
(vi) Jamboree Kit                                                           - Rs   2,500/-

Total                                                                                - Rs 38,000/-
Caution Money    :    Rs. 10,000/- Non-refundable if selected and not participated and adjustable after participation. Demand Draft is to be send in the name of the Director ‘Bharat Scouts and Guides’ payable at New Delhi.  Selected candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000/- as administrative charges, Rs. 2500/- towards Scout/Guide welfare fund, Rs. 1500/- for magazine and miscellaneous expenses incurred towards Indian contingent for the Jamboree which will be adjusted against caution money.

Last Date    :    The application of the interested and willing  candidate should reach the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi on or before 30th April, 2021 along with caution money Rs. 10,000/- & photocopy of valid passport. Brief details will be provided in the selection letter as soon as application form and caution money is received. 

State Associations are requested to encourage Scout/Guide as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above and send their applications in the prescribed proforma (enclosed) to the National Headquarters, Bharat Scouts and Guides, New Delhi latest by 30th April, 2021.

Since this most prestigious event of Asia-Pacific Region/WOSM is being hosted by our neighbouring country Bangladesh which is held once in a triennium, Let us put our effort to promote participation and participate in a large number to represent our country.
