CIRCULAR NO. 63/2019 - NATIONAL LEVEL TREKKING CUM ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS PROGRAMME FOR SR. SCOUTS & GUIDES, ROVERS & RANGERS.
We are glad to inform you that National Level Trekking Cum Environment Awareness Programme for Sr. Scouts & Guides, Rovers & Rangers will be organized at Bhopalpani, Dehradun, Uttarakhand State from 24th to 30th September, 2019.
Dates - 24th to 30th September, 2019 (07 days)
Date of Arrival - 24th September, 2019 before lunch
Date of Departure - 30th September, 2019 after lunch
How to Reach -
Bhopalpani Camping Centre is around 29 K.M.from I.S.B.T.Dehradun and 22 K.M. from Dehradun Railway Station. From I.S.B.T. & Railway Station, share Tempo/Auto and City Bus services are available for Parade ground / Tibati Market. City Bus services are available from Parade Ground/Tibati Market to Camping Centre, Bhopalpani.

Who can participate - Sr. Scouts & Guides, Rovers & Rangers between 15 to 25 years of age, having sound health may be selected according to the quota allocated to the State. Each candidate has to submit Physical Fitness Certificate from the appropriate authority. Unfit candidate should not be selected.
Quota allocation - Sr. Scout/Rover – 02, Sr. Guide/Ranger – 02, Unit Leader-01, Total = 05 Nos. (No additional Participants will be accepted)
Fee - Scout Guide Welfare Fund: Rs.180/- per head for Sr. Scout/Guide, Rover/Ranger and Rs.280/- per head for Unit Leader to be paid at the time of Registration.
What to Carry - 2 Sets of Correct & Complete Uniform as per APRO Part-II / III, Track Suit, Sleeping Bag. Warm bedding, Ruck Sack (compulsory). Comfortable Sport/Trekking Shoe, Sleeping mat, Rain-Coat, Plastic-Sheet, Plate, Mug ,Spoon, Writing Materials, Note Book, First-Aid Kit, Lunch Box, P-Cap, Personal and Warm Clothing’s , toilet requisites, Water-bottle, torch and other necessary material required for the trekking Programme.
Financial Assistance - National Headquarters will reimburse travel subsidy maximum @ Rs. 550/- per head or actual whichever is less, on production of train/bus tickets. Free lodging and boarding will be provided during the camp days. Participants from Railway States should ensure utilization of Railway Pass.
Risk Certificate - Each candidate has to submit a Risk Certificate (Enclosed) duly signed by the Parents and attested by the District Commissioner. Application along with risk and Medical Certificate is to be handed over during Registration along with the deputation letter of the State.
NOTE: Without Medical Fitness Certificate, Risk Certificate and deputation letter of the State, participants will not be admitted in the Camp
Last Date - The name list of the selected candidates should reach to the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters at [email protected] with a copy to State Secretary, BSG Uttarakhand State at [email protected] on or before 15th September 2019. If your State is not utilizing the allotted quota, please inform at the earliest so that additional quota may be given to other states
