We are happy to inform you that the Bharat Scouts and Guides is organizing National Rover & Ranger Mini Jamboree to Commemorate Centenary Year of Rangering being hosted by the Bharat Scouts and Guides Odisha State Association scheduled to be held at State Training Centre, Barunei, Khurda, Odisha State from 1^st to 7^th December 2019. Details of the event are as follows:

Dates - 1^st December to 7^th December, 2019.

Theme - “Go-Grow-Glow”

Date of Arrival - 1^st December 2019 before Lunch

Date of Departure - 7^th December 2019 after Lunch

How to Reach - The nearest Railway station is Khurda Railway Station (Junction).Camp-site is 07 Kms. away from Khurda Railway Station and 30 Kms. from Bhubaneshwar Railway Station. Share Auto & Bus services are available from Khurda Railway Station to Barunei Camp-site. The camp-site is situated on National Highway Bypass 02 Kms. away from P.N. College, Khurda.

Bus services are also available from Bhubaneshwar Bermunda Bus Stand which will take about 30 Kms for the camp-site.

Eligibility - Rovers & Rangers between the age group 15 to 25 years completed at least Nipun stage in Rovering/Rangering. Preference may be given to Rajya Puraskar/Rashtrapati Rover/Ranger.

Quota - As per sheet attached. This quota will not be increased further. If your state confirmation is not received by 30.09.2019, the quota will be allotted to any other needy state.

Scout Guide Welfare Fund - Each youth (Rover/Ranger) will contribute @ Rs 180/- per head and Adults will contribute @ Rs 280/- at the time of registration.

What to Bring - Contingent Kit:

1. Name Plates of State size 16” x 9”.-white back ground with red letters in capital.
2. Colour Party material as per drill and march past/APRO
3. Equipment for activities to display and demonstration, exhibition, physical display, pioneering project, cultural exchange program and other competitions.
4. Necessary costumes, musical instruments for folk-dance, physical display, traditional talent show and Camp fire etc.
5. First- aid kits
6. Raw provision and requisite materials for food plaza.
7. Materials for State gate
8. All other materials required as  per the suggested programmes mentioned hereunder:

What to Bring - Individual Kit: Two set of Scout/ Guide uniform as per A.P.R.O. Part-II & III, sleeping bag, sleeping Mat, warm bedding, ruck sack, torch, water bottle, personal requisites, plate, mug, spoon, note book, writing materials, and other necessary equipment.

Activities - The Jamboree will be full of activities with plenty of enjoyment for as per the Jamboree programme given below. Fun and Adventure activities, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) activity, Global Village Development, WOSM & WAGGGS initiatives, Cultural exchange programmes, Food Plaza, Group Discussion, Folk Dance, Camp-fire, Physical display,Exhibition, Fashion Show, Traditional Talent Show (Fashion show), Skill Training (Block Painting, Mirror Work, Jewellery making etc.), celebration of centenary  year of Rangering& many more.

Competitions: State level activities (Wing Wise) - Group activities (Wing wise), State Gate, Camp Craft, Rangoli (Rangers), Pioneering Project. (Rovers).

Common State Level Activities (Joint for both the Wings) - Group Activities (Joint for both the wings), Colour Party, Folk Dance, Physical Display, Exhibition,  Pageant Show, Global Development Village, Traditional talent show (Fashion show), Food Plaza.

Financial assistance - Host Odisha State Bharat Scouts and Guides is providing free hospitality during the event days. Travelling expenses is to be borne by the individual or State Association or his/her sponsoring authority. Maximum amount @ Rs 550/- per head will be reimbursed by NHQ subject to availability of grant.

Last date of Application - The name list of the participating candidates should reach NHQ, New Delhi latest by 30.09.2019. Selected candidates will be sent online link for registration separately.
