CIRCULAR NO. 88/2019 - "REMINDER" OBSERVANCE OF INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE CELEBRATION 21ST SEPTEMBER, 2019 & 150 YEARS OF CELEBRATING THE MAHATMA
Your kind attention is drawn towards NHQ Circular No. 81/2019 dated 20.08.2019.
The International Day of Peace is observed around the world every 21st of September. This year’s theme as announced by the United Nations is “Climate Action for Peace”, directing towards action on SDG Goal No. 13 - Climate Action.
It is a “gentle reminder” to all the State Associations that our organization should observe the International Day of Peace on 21st September in a befitting manner at all level by organizing various programmes and activities as suggested i.e.
- Conducting massive tree planting activities in a day
- Conducting activities such as Peace run, Peace march, Peace rally,Peace walk,Youth Speech for Peace, Peace Pledge and Awareness Programme, Community Service/Development Initiatives, One-day Peace Gathering
- Conducting nature hikes and expeditions focusing on actions for climate change
It is requested to use Mahatma 150 logo in all banners & publication materials.
