We are glad to inform you that the Bharat Scouts & Guides, National Headquarters is organizing National Open Unit Rally at State Training Centre, Ambala, Haryana State from 09^th to 13^th January 2020. This event will coincide with observation of National Youth Day on 12^th January 2020.

Dates - 09^TH TO 13^TH JANUARY 2020

Date of Arrival - 09^th January 2020 before lunch.

Date of Departure - 13^th January 2020 after lunch.

How to Reach - Nearest Railway Station is Ambala Cant. State Training Centre, Ambala is about 200 meters on walk able distance from Ambala Cant Railway Station.

Who can participate - Scouts / Guides / Rovers / Rangers who are bonafide members of the registered Open Unit and completed atleast Tritya Sopan Badge in Scout / Guide and Nipun in Rover/ Ranger will be eligible to participate in the Rally. 

Quota - Scouts-02, Guides-02, Rovers-02, Rangers-02, UnitLeader-01. Total=09. (No additional participants will be accepted.)

Scout Guide Welfare Fund - Each youth (Scout/Guide/Rover/Ranger) will contribute @ Rs. 180/- per head and Adults will contribute @ Rs. 280/- at the time of registration.

What to Bring - Two sets of Correct and complete uniforms as per APRO- II/III, Toilet requisites, Personal dress, Warm Clothing (Sweater/ Jacket), Knotting Rope, Sutli, Knife, Personal First Aid Kit, Plate, Glass, Spoon, Torch, Chart Paper, Writing Materials, Warm Bedding (Ambala will be very chill during January), Traditional Costumes for Cultural Programmes, required materials for Unit Exposition/Exhibition, Food Plaza, Musical instruments, dress & exhibition materials related to Mahatma Gandhi etc.

Financial Assistance - National Headquarters will reimburse travel subsidy maximum @ Rs 550/- per head or actual whichever is less on production of train/Bus ticket. Free Lodging & Boarding will be provided during the camp days. Participants of Railway State are requested to utilize Railway Pass.

Programme & Activities- Following programmes and activities will be organized in the Rally: - Open Unit activity Exposition/Exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi, Food Plaza, Group Discussion, Youth Forum, Drawing/Painting, Poem and slogan Writing,  on the theme “Gandhi”, Community Development Service and Project, Service in Disaster & Natural Calamities, Fund Raising, Image and Visibility, Prime Minister Shield Competition, Upa-Rashtrapati Award Scheme, Lakshmi Mazumdar Award Scheme, Folk Song, Folk Dance, WOSM & WAGGGS initiatives, Camp-Fire and other Cultural Programme.

If your State is not utilizing the allotted quota, please inform at the earliest so that additional quota may be allotted to other States.
