We are pleased to inform you that the World Organization of the Scout Movement is organizing the 62^nd Jamboree-On-The-Air & 23^rd Jamboree-On-The-Internet, which is being hosted by World Organization of the Scout Movement on 18^th to 20^th October 2019. The traditional timeframe is Saturday 00:00 hrs. until Sunday 24:00 hrs. local time. Each station can choose its own operating hours, including beginning on Friday at 00:00 hrs, based on their local telecommunications regulations and authorization, as well as station and Scout availability. Please share this information with all the Scout groups in your state so that they may participate in this exciting event.

Each year JOTA-JOTI® remains the largest Scouting event in the world, with over a million Scouts participating across 150+ countries. JOTA-JOTI is the only event offering each individual Scout the experience that he or she really belongs to a worldwide Movement.

What is the Jamboree-On-The-Air and Jamboree-On-The-Internet?

JOTA-JOTI is the world’s largest digital Scout event taking place online and over the air. The educational event brings together more than 2.5 million Scouts every year in October for a weekend of Scouting and friendship. Young people can learn about communications technology and connect with fellow Scouts from over 170 countries.

All of this helps Scouts discover new technologies, other cultures, make new friends and have a great deal of fun throughout the weekend.

JOTA-JOTI is a WOSM event to which members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) are kindly invited to take part and enjoy the international atmosphere together with the Scouts & Guides.

State JOTA-JOTI Coordinator

State Associations who haven’t already done so, are kindly requested to appoint a State JOTA-JOTI Coordinator (SJC) and send the name, email ID, call sign, contact no. etc. who:

• Has the required organizational skills to support the Scout & Guide groups participating in the JOTA-JOTI event is his/her state.
• Functions at a state level within his/her Scouts & Guides.
• Communications directly with the World JOTA-JOTI Team and is the Scout & Guide Association’s representative to the National Amateur radio organization and/or Internet          
• Preferably is someone with his/her own Amateur radio licence, or at least with a vast knowledge of Amateur radio and / or knowledge of the Internet world.

The SJC has access to specific JOTA-JOTI information on the web as well as to a restricted electronic forum. In this way he or she can directly exchange views with NJC’s of other countries, ask for assistance, and organize activities.
