This is to inform you that the Govt. of India, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution Department vide its letter No. 1-4/2020-Py-IV (E371246) dated 9th April, 2020 and Govt. of India, NITI Aayog D. O. Letter No. M-111011/8/2020-SJE dated 15th April, 2020 and Letter No. M111011/8/2020-SJE dated 16th April, 2020 addressed to all NGOs (Copies of the letters enclosed herewith for your ready reference) that the Food Corporation of India is supplying food grains throughout the country at the uniform rate of Rs 21 per kilogram for Wheat and Rs 22 per kilogram for Rice to all the charitable / non-Governmental Organisation engaged in relief operations / running relief camps for migrant labourers/ vulnerable groups due to the present lockdown condition. It has also been directed that there will be no upper limit for allocation of food grains to each such organisation from any FCI depot.

In this regard, all the State Association are requested to communicate this matter to all concerned at the grassroots who are doing commendable job as a COVID-19 warriors and utilize this facility offered by the Govt. of India.

The concern nodal officer (our Volunteer) on duty may be instructed to contact the respective District Collector/FCI Manager for obtaining food grains at the above mentioned rates to support the needy in this crucial period of lockdown.
