CIRCULAR NO. 19/2020 - NATIONAL YOUTH FEST - 2020

We are glad to inform you that the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters is organising National Youth Fest 2020 which will be held at the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Youth Complex, Gadpuri, Haryana from 13th to 17th March, 2020.

The details of the event are as under:-

Dates - 13th to 17th March, 2020

Theme - “Ek bharat shreshtha bharat”

Date of Reporting - 13th March, 2020 before lunch.

Date of Departure - 17th March, 2020 after lunch.

How to Reach - Gadpuri is situated on Delhi Mathura Road in between Palwal and Ballabgarh. (Just 10 K.M. from Ballabgarh and Palwal). Local Trains are available from Delhi/New Delhi/Nizamuddin Railway Station for Ballabgarh & Palwal. Bus services are also available from Delhi (Sarai Kale Khan), Faridabad/Ballabgarh/Palwal for Gadpuri. Share Auto services are also available from Ballabgarh/Palwal for Gadpuri.

Who can attend - Youth i.e. Rovers, Rangers, Unit Leaders between 16 to 29 years of age.

Scout Guide Welfare Fund - Each youth (Rover/Ranger) will contribute @ Rs. 180/- per head and Unit Leader will contribute @ Rs. 280/- at the time of registration.

Financial Assistance - National Headquarters will reimburse 2nd Sleeper Class train fare or bus fare on the shortest route on production of train/ordinary bus tickets.

Magazine Subscription - All participants are requested to subscribe NHQ magazine by paying Rs 180/- for one year.

Quota - Scout wing – 25, (Consisting of Rovers & Unit Leaders age between 16-29 years). Guide wing – 25 (Consisting of Rangers & Unit Leaders age between 16-29 years) - Total = 50.

What to Bring - INDIVIDUAL KIT: Two sets of correct and complete uniform as per APRO Part – II / III, Toilet requisites, Personal dress, Bedding, Traditional Costumes for Cultural Programmes and Camp-Fire, requisite materials for State Exhibition.

CONTINGENT KIT:1) Contingent Utensils-Patila, Bucket, Donga, Tasla, Serving Spoon, Kettle, Mug etc. for receiving Contingent meals from the Central Mess. (2) State Pla-Card. (3) Materials for State Exhibition, (4) Materials for Food plaza (Cooking utensils, raw provisions etc,) (5) Traditional Costumes like dress for Song & Dance, Festival, Exhibition, Camp-Fire, Color Party Uniform, Band material and costumes etc. (6) Musical Instrument as per the need of the State. (7) lf any dance is to be performed on audio-handy music system.

Programme and Activities - State Exhibition,  Swacchta Campaign on single use plastic, Festivals of India, Folk Song & Folk dance, Patriotic Song, Food Plaza, Integration Game, Camp-Fire, WAGGGS & WOSM Initiative,  Youth Parliament, Debate, Quiz, Color Party competition, Band display competition etc. (Please ensure to depute participants well prepared to take part in these competitive activities).

Last date of application - The list of selected candidates should reach at the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters at email [email protected] with a copy to the Assistant Director, Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Youth Complex (NYC), Gadpuri, Haryana at email [email protected] on or before 05th March, 2020 for our further arrangements.  If your state is not utilizing the allotted quota please inform at the earliest so that additional quota may be allotted to other states. If you need additional quota, please write to us immediately.
