We are glad to inform you that the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) and the Sri Lanka Girl Guides Association (SLGGA) are thrilled to invite you to the 13^th WAGGGS Asia Pacific Regional Conference to be held in Sri Lanka from 12^th to 16^th August, 2019.

This 13^th Asia Pacific Regional Conference is a very special occasion, as we will celebrate the 50^th Anniversary of the Asia Pacific Region. Some of the Asia Pacific Regional Conference activities will be joined by Friends of Asia Pacific WAGGGS (FAPW), which are also celebrating the 20^th Anniversary of FAPW.

The Regional Conference is a key opportunity to come together for one our most important governance events. During the Conference, we will develop future regional strategies, align our service delivery plan with the needs, interests and priorities of Member Organizations and work together to explore tools and resources to expand Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting within our Region. We will share best practices, learn from each other and make new connections.

Details are as follows:

Dates - 12^th to 16^th August, 2019

Date of Arrival - 11^th August, 2019 before Lunch

Date of Departure - 16^th August, 2019 after Lunch

Theme - Unite, Thrive, Grow

Who can attend - Who is a member of the National Board, Executive Committee or Sub-Committee as either the conference delegate or observer. Young Woman aged 18 to 30 years as observer.

Quota Allocation - 02 Delegates – Traditionally National Commissioner (Guide) and International Commissioner (Guide) will be attended as Delegates. 10 Observers – Will be selected from the candidates who will send the application forms along with registration amount as per mentioned in the circular. 

Financial Assistance - Young Participants below the age of 30 in need of financial assistance to attend the conference can indicate your request in the registration form. Finance assistance will be provided on priority basis.

Selection - Candidates will be expend there on expenditure all other information will be given to selected candidates shortly.

Details of Passports - Valid up to December 2019

Registration Fee - US$ 950 per person (Twin Room) with late registration after 31^st May US$ 1045. US$ 1200 per person (Single Room) with late registration after 31^st May US$ 1320.

Young Women age under 30 years

Full registration fee will therefore cost US$665 before the 19 April 2019 and US$731.5 for late registration.

Flight Charges & VISA Charges - Maximum Rs. 45,000/- to and fro (VISA Charges Extra).

Caution Money - Rs. 5000/- , Non-refundable; if selected and not participated.

Demand Draft in the name of “Bharat Scouts & Guides”, payable at New Delhi

Application without caution money and scanned copy of passport will be rejected.   

Last Date of Application - As the quota is limited, selection will be on the basis of “FIRST COME FIRST Serve” The applications of the participating candidates should reach to National Headquarters, New Delhi on or before 15^th April 2019.
