Greetings from the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi!

The Bharat Scouts and Guides is pleased to invite the nomination for the 1st OUTSTANDING SCOUTS / GUIDES OF THE BSG AWARD – 2020 to give due recognition to our Scouts and Guides, who best epitomize good moral character, have maintained academic excellence and demonstrated sterling qualities of leadership in the institution and community.

The calls is for the nomination and selection of outstanding Scouts Guides in states aimed at enhancing the image and visibility of Scouting Guiding as an educational movement and to emphasise its impact and effectiveness in the holistic development of the young people.

The Scouts/Guides aged between 14 to 17 years on the last date of nomination and should be at least Rajya Puraskar Scout/ Rajya Puraskar Guide may only be eligible for the award. The competition will be conducted at District, State, Regional and National Levels. Selection at Unit/ Institution Level is also encouraged for greater involvement of more Scouts and Guides. There will be a selection committee at all level. A maximum of 06 Scouts and 06 Guides will be selected at National Level and declared as “OUTSTANDING SCOUTS /GUIDES OF THE BSG".

The criteria for the selection in the District, State, Regional and National Level Hunt are as follows:

• Non-Scouting Component – Academic Performance/ Institutional and Community Service
• Scouting / Guiding Component – Accomplishments as a Scout/ Guide
• Interview

The nomination forms of selected candidates at state level should be sent to concern Regional Headquarters of the Bharat Scouts and Guides by State Association before 05 August, 2021. Regional level selection interview will be held by 10th September, 2021. Scouts Guides who will be shortlisted for the award at Regional level will be invited at National Headquarters, New Delhi for final interview. The announcement of the award winners will be made in a National Council Meeting scheduled on November, 2021. For more details, kindly refer to the attached guidelines. For selection and interview process, participants have to borne his/her own expenditure. Shortlisted candidates are expected to attend the Award Ceremony.
