CIRCULAR NO. 30/2019 - NATIONAL ROVER RANGER SAMAGAM.

Dear Sir/Madam,

To celebrate closing of Centenary year of Rovering, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters is going to organize National Rover Ranger Samagam, at National Training Centre, Pachmarhi from 10th to 14thJune, 2019.

Dates - 10th to 14th June, 2019 (05 days)

Date of Arrival - 10th June, 2019before lunch.

Date of Departure - 14th June, 2019after lunch.

How to Reach - The nearest Railway Station is Pipariya. The distance from Pipariya to Pachmarhi is 56 Km. Buses are available from Pipariya to Pachmarhi. Numbers of Private jeeps are also available on nominal rate. The Training Centre is just 5 km from Pachmarhi Bus Stand, local conveyance are available to reach Training Centre.

Who can participate - At least Nipun Rovers/Rangers between 18 to 25 years of age, and having sound health may be selected according to the quota allotted to the State. Each candidate has to submit Physical Fitness Certificate from the appropriate authority. Unfit candidates should not be selected. Without State Headquarters’ deputation letter, no candidate will be admitted.

Quota - Rovers – 06, Rangers – 06, Leader – 01                   Total – 13

Fees - Scout Guide Welfare Fund: Rs.180/- per head for Rovers & Rangers and Rs.280/- per head for Unit Leaders to be paid at the time of Registration.

What to Bring - Following materials are to be carried by each participants: Two sets of correct and complete uniform as per APRO Part II / III, Track suit, Bedding, personal clothing's, Sleeping Bag, Sleeping mat, Toilet requisites, Torch, Water Bottle, Rope, Plate, Mug, Spoon, Writing materials, First Aid kit, Comfortable Sports Shoe, Lunch Box, P- Cap, Costumes for Cultural Programmes etc.

Financial Assistance - National Headquarters will reimburse travel subsidy maximum @ Rs. 550/- per head or actual whichever is less, on production of train/bus tickets. Free lodging and boarding will be provided during the camp days. Participants from Railway States should ensure utilization of Railway Pass.

Programme & Activities - Group Discussion, Youth Forum, Cultural Programme, Trekking, Adventure activities, C.D. Project under Govt. of India initiatives, input sessions, Skill based subjects, etc.

Risk Certificate - Each candidate has to submit a Risk Certificate (Enclosed) duly signed by the parents and attested by the District Commissioner.

Last Date - The list of selected candidates should reach at the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi at info@bsgindia.org with a copy to National Training Centre at scouttraining@bsgindia.org on or before 16th May, 2019. After the receipt of name and email id of the participants from State, the online registration code will be sent to the concern participants for online registration. Without online registration, no one will be permitted in the camp. If your State is not utilizing the allotted quota by 16th May, the additional quota will be allotted to other States. Your state will miss the opportunity.

It is also to state that we may select youths to represent India in overseas events. Hence participants to be deputed accordingly.
