CIRCULAR NO. 135 - Virtual Delegates for Tide Turner challenge African Summit
Dear Sir/Madam,
The Tide Turner Plastic challenge is a global initiative engaging youth across the globe to address the issue of plastic pollution threatening life in oceans, rivers and on land. The initiative seeks to educate young Individuals on single use plastics leading to action that will reduce land and marine plastic pollution.
The Summit presents a forum for awarding and recognizing the champions who managed to complete all the 3 levels of the Tide Turners challenge (TTC) and Highlight their success stories. The summit is also an opportunity to invite all the stakeholders from the government, NGOs, and corporate sector to Showcase UNEP's engagement with youth in addition to motivating youth by Connecting them with these stakeholders. A virtual event hosted by the United Nation’s Environment Programme (UNEP). Details of the event are as below
Name of the Event :- Virtual Delegates for Tide Turner challenge African Summit
Date :- 16th October 2020
Time :- 4.30-7.30pm India Time (2-5 pm Eastern Africa Time)
Age :- 16 years and above (Sr. Scouts/Rovers and Sr. Guides Rangers) 2 unit Leaders (10:1)
Who can apply :- Who has completed champion Level of PTTC, Since it is a virtual event conducted in English, participants be able to follow the proceedings, capture learning and emulate good practices back to their country
Last date for registration (Online) :- 12th October 2020

Selected participants shall receive the link for the summit registration, only after receiving champion level certificate of confirmation from the State Association.
As the number is limited to 20Sr.Scouts/Rovers and 20 Sr. Guides/Rangers and 2 unit Leaders in both wing will be selected on ‘First come first Serve”.
