We are glad to inform you that National Level Tribal Scout/ Guide/ Rover/ Ranger Meet will be organized by the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters which will be held at District Training Centre, Bharat Scouts and Guides, Medininagar (Daltonganj), Palamu, Jharkhand State from 16th to 20th September, 2019. This event is exclusively for the Scouts/ Guides/ Rovers/ Rangers of Tribal Units.

Details of the Event are as follows:-

Dates - 16th to 20th September, 2019

Date of Reporting - 16th September, 2019 before lunch

Date of Departure - 20th September, 2019 after lunch

How to Reach - Daltonganj is situated at Barkakana main line. New Delhi- Howrah Railway main line get down at Dehri On Sone Station. From Dehri On Sone Station you can reach at Daltonganj by Bus/Train. District Training Centre (Camp Venue) is 02 km. away from Daltonganj Station. Those who are coming by Bus get down at Medininagar (Daltonganj) and take private bus to District Training Centre which is 01 km. away from private Bus Stand.

Who can attend - Tribal Scouts / Guides / Rovers / Rangers of registered Units completed Tritiya Sopan in Scout/ Guide or Nipun in Rover/ Ranger are eligible to participate in the Meet. Where there are no Tribal Scouts / Guides/ Rovers/ Rangers units. In such a case Scouts/ Guides/ Rovers/ Rangers from rural area may be deputed.

Fees - Scout Guide Welfare Fund: Rs.180/- per head for Scouts & Guides, Rovers & Rangers. Rs.280/- per head for Unit Leaders to be paid at the time of Registration.

Quota Allocation - Tribal Scouts:- 02, Rovers:- 02, Tribal Guides:- 02, Rangers:- 02,  Adult Leader:- 01. Total: - 09. (No additional participants will be accepted.)

Financial Assistance - 02nd Sleeper Class Concessional Train fare and actual ordinary Bus fare by Govt./Private bus will be reimbursed by the National Headquarters on production of Train and bus ticket in original. Bus fare will be paid for the shortest route where there are no train services. Deluxe Volvo Buses or taxi/auto fare is not admissible. Tatkal Charges will not be paid. Participant from Railway States Should Travel by Railway Passes. Please Note: Travelling Expenses of participants will be reimbursed on receipt of Grant-in-Aid from the Govt. of India. The Escorting Unit Leader may be instructed to submit his/her Bank details to the Leader of the Event along with T.E.Bill.

What to Bring - INDIVIDUAL KIT :- Two sets of Correct and complete uniforms as per  APRO- II/III, Toilet requisites, Personal dress, Clothing, Note Book, Pen, Knotting Rope, Sutli, Knife, Personal First Aid Kit, Plate, Glass, Spoon, Torch, Chart Paper, Writing Materials, Bedding, Traditional Costumes for Cultural Programmes, required materials for Traditional Village Fair/ Exhibition, Tribal Food Plaza, Festivals and Rangoli etc. PATROL KIT: - Patrol Utensils such as Bucket, Jug, Patila, Bucket, Donga, Tasla, Serving Spoon, Kettle, Mug, eating utensils, etc for receiving meals from the Central Mess.  Ground Sheet, Gadget Items Musical Instrument, Local Costumes for festival and Village fair. Food ingredients for food Plaza etc.

Programme - Following programmes and activates will be organized in the Meet. Traditional Village Fair, Tribal Food Plaza, Village festival, Folk Song, Folk Dances, Traditional Handicraft Village Bazar (Haat), Rangoli, Typical Village Wall Painting, Camp Fire, Physical display, Martial Art, Village Game, Exhibition, Craft and Cultural Heritage of Rural and Tribal Areas, Traditional Musical Instruments. Apart from the above Slogan writing competition and Youth Forum will also be organized. ( Please ensure to carry requisite materials for these activity)

Last Date of Application - The name list of the selected candidates should reach at the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters, New Delhi by email at [email protected] and State Secretary, BS&G Jharkhand State at [email protected] on or before 31st July, 2019. If your State is not utilizing the quota, please inform NHQ so that additional quota may be allotted to other needy States.
