Dear Sir/Madam,

National Youth Day (Yuva Diwas) is celebrated with the great joy and enthusiasm in India every year on 12th of January. It is celebrated to commemorate the birthday of “SWAMI VIVEKANANDA”, maker of the modern India. It was first declared by the Government of India in the year 1984 to celebrate the birthday of Swami Vivekananda as the National Youth Day. Since then (1985), it is started celebrating as the National Youth Day all over the Country.
It was decided by the Government of India in order to inspire all the youths of the country towards the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and his ideals. The birthday of Swami Vivekananda was decided to be celebrated as the National Youth Day to complete the aim of making better future of the country by motivating the youths through the way of lifestyle and ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
We should feel proud that the Bharat Scouts & Guides is one of the largest uniformed Youth Organization in the Country with a membership of 5.7 million members imparting value based and educational prgrammes and activities for the all-round development of the young people to become reliable and responsible citizen of the nation.
As we all are aware, Our Youths are the pillars of strength in the organization and we all need to inspire them and keep engage with various innovative programmes and activities even though we face challenges in organizing physical activities due to the ongoing Covid pandemic and restrictions towards Covid protocols and government guidelines.
To commemorate 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters has planned a “YAUVANA”- Youth Week Celebration Activity Pack starting from 05th January to 11th January through ‘7 days at Yauva Talent Hub’- Activity Pack is enclosed herewith with detail information on actions.
Therefore, all the State Associations are requested to promote this National Youth Day Celebration and encourage Scouts & Guides. Rovers & Rangers to participate in the 7 days Yauva Talent Hub activity and forward daily activity report in the given link https://forms.gle/syZK215RyzUgmgmS8 National level Digital participation Certificate will be issued to the youth as a source of recognition who completes the activity and submit daily activity report in the given link as per the stipulated deadline as stated in the activity pack. Rovers/Rangers are also requested to promote the event by uploading in the BSG Social Media sites like BSG Facebook, Twitter & Instagram
On 12th January, The National Headquarters will host a live programme to celebrate the ‘National Youth Day’ to commemorate 158th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. All are requested to participate in the day celebration which will live stream in bsg youtube channel
