Greetings from the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters for the New Year 2021!

We are happy to inform you that the Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarter is going to organize National Level webinar to commemorate 158th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on the occasion of National Youth Day. Youth is the power of the Nation; Yauva is the hope of our future. A three Day Virtual Webinar is planned to be organised from 09 to11 January 2021 to motivate and encourage young people in learning new skills, adopting scouting guiding values and to inculcate them and spread throughout the grassroots. The details of the Webinar are as follows: -

Time : 04:00 PM – 06:00 PM everyday
Mode of Webinar : Zoom Platform and Official YouTube Channel of the Bharat Scouts and Guides.
As per Zoom Accommodation, participants can be allotted in Zoom Webinar or they can be asked to watch the webinars live in the official YouTube channel of BSG. Application will be considered on “First Come, First Serve Basis for inclusion in the Zoom Webinar”
Who Can Participate : Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers and Unit Leaders from all the State Associations. Non-Scouts Guides also can take part through BSG YouTube.

(09 January 2021) : TIDE TURNERS PLASTIC CHALLENGE BADGE - The Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge is a global youth movement to fight plastic pollution around the world. The Bharat Scouts and Guides has launched this initiative in the month of June 2020. By joining this challenge, participants will be a part of an entire generation of young leaders who are changing the world, one action at a time!
Things to be discussed - What is the Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge? How to get the Tide Turner Badge and Certificate? What is the role of young people to beat plastic pollution?

(10 January 2021) : CAREER COUNSELLING- The main goal of Career Counselling is to provide youth with the skills and knowledge they need to make important decisions throughout their life. Things to be discussed –What is Career Counselling? What is the need of Career Counselling? Focusing on various career options.

(11 January 2021) A) FLASH MOB DANCE ON MOP BEAT / PATRIOTIC SONG - A Virtual Webinar on FLASH MOB DANCE ON MOP Beat / Patriotic Song to be organized from various corners of country where participants will dance with MOP Beat / Patriotic song wearing complete Scout / Guide uniform.
The purpose of the programme is to create fun and mass publicity of Scouting/Guiding at local level. You may choose one of the songs by using this link –

Requirement - One or two patrols of mix group of Scouts, Guides, Rovers, Rangers and Unit Leaders may perform the dance, prepare a video and upload it in the drive link- https://forms.gle/nsGxg5uQEzmcsuDi6 by 10th January 2021 at 02:30 PM. The best selected videos will be displayed during the Webinar on 11th January 2021 from 04:00 PM to 06:00 PM. Mention your unit name, district name and State name while recording the video.
B) Mock Parliament – The Honorable Prime Minister shared the idea of youth becoming the voice of India in his Mann ki Baat address of 31st December, 2017:
“I got an idea whether we could organize a mock parliament in every district of India? Where the youth between 18 and 25 could sit together and brain storm about new India, find ways and chalk our plans. How could we realize our resolves before 2022? How could we build an India of the dreams of our freedom fighters?”
The Bharat Scouts and Guides, National Headquarters is providing opportunity to our youth to enhance their all around capacity by active participation in Mock Parliament. lt's a TEAM EVENT where they need to re-create the Parliament session on any one of the topics given here under, in Costumes (scarf is mandatory). Any number of teams can participate from each State/Region and cover all the role of parliament. Participants need to submit the videos by 10 January, 2021 at 11.30 AM and the selected videos will be displayed during the webinar of January 11, 2021.
Topics of Mock Parliament: Any one of the following topics to be taken up :
1) Unlocking rural economy in the face of new normal
2) Contribution of India is fixing global narratives on climate change
3) Role of India in fixing global narratives on terrorism
4) Role of India in bringing covid-19 vaccine

Please mention your respective District name, State name and name of the participants as the introductory part of the video.
C) Declamation- Declamation is an artistic form of public speaking. It is a dramatic oration designed to gesture the full sense of the text being conveyed. As young minds are full of emotions and expressions, here is the opportunity to voice out and display any one of your favourite hero from the list given below:
Amartya Sen, Munshi Premchand, Ravi Shankar, S. Ramanujan Satyajit Ray, Lata Mangeshkar, Indira Gandhi, Rukmini Devi, Bismillah Khan, Raj Kapoor, R K Narayan, Begum Akhtar, P V Sindhu, Amrita Sher-Gill, Atal Bihari Pajpayee, Amitabh Bachhan, Bhagat Singh or any other prominent personality (Male/Female) you like most.
Requirements:
Participants need to dress up and glam-up like any Indian prominent personality (Male/Female) as mentioned.
The duration of the video must be of 02 minutes (maximum)
The videos must be submitted by 10 January, 2021 at 11:30 AM
Language to be used - English or Hindi
Flow of video - Self introduction → introduce your character → their life journey and achievement.
Best entries will be displayed during the webinar on 11th January, 2021.
