We are glad to inform you that National Level Trekking cum Environment Awareness Programme for Adult Leaders will be organized at Vaishno Devi, Jammu & Kashmir from 26th to 30th January, 2020.

How to Reach - Trains are available up to Katra (Shri Mata Vaishno devi Katra - SVDK). Ashirwad Complex, Karta, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board is a walkable distance of 1 km. from Katra Bus Stand and 2 km. from Railway Station.

Who can participate - Warrant holder Unit Leaders between 18 to 45 years of age and having sound health may be selected according to the quota allotted to the State. Each candidate has to submit Physical Fitness Certificate from the appropriate authority. Unfit candidate should not be selected.

Scout Guide Welfare Fund - Rs. 280/- per head to be paid at the time of Registration.

What to Carry - 2 Sets of Correct & Complete Uniform as per APRO Part-II / III, Track Suit, Sleeping Bag. Warm bedding, Ruck sack. Comfortable Sport/Trekking Shoe, Sleeping mat, Plate and Mug, Spoon, Writing Material, Note Book, First-Aid Kit, Lunch Box, Personal Medicine (if any),  Warm Clothing’s, toilet requisites, Water-bottle, torch and other necessary material required for the Trekking camp. A photo copy of AADHAR CARD is to be submitted at the time of registration.

Financial Assistance - National Headquarters will reimburse travel subsidy maximum @ Rs. 550/- per head or actual whichever is less on production of train/Bus ticket. Participants of Railway State are requested to utilize Railway Pass.

Magazine Subscription - All participants are requested to subscribe NHQ magazine by paying Rs 180/- for one year.

Risk Certificate - Each candidate has to submit a Risk Certificate (Enclosed) attested by the District Commissioner. Application with Risk and Medical Certificate is to be handed over during Registration along with the deputation letter of the State.

NOTE: Without Medical Fitness Certificate, Risk Certificate and deputation letter of the State, participants will not be admitted in the Camp.

Last Date - The name list of the selected candidates should reach to the Bharat Scouts and Guides, Northern Regional Headquarters, Delhi at [email protected] with a copy to State Secretary, BSG, Jammu & Kashmir State at [email protected] on or before 20th Jan. 2020 along with the details of arrival and departure itinerary of the participating contingent. If your State is not utilizing the allotted quota, please inform us at the earliest so that additional quota may be allotted to other States.
